Raghurajpur is situated 14 Kilometer away from Puri near Chandanpur, on NH-316. It is declared as a first heritage village and developed as a Crafts village by Government of Odisha. It is famous for Patachitra and also known for Tussar paintings, palm leaf engravings, stone and wood carvings, and toys made up of wooden, cow dung and paper Mache. Patachitra is a traditional art form which dates back to 5 BC, is kept alive by this artisan village. Patachitra are carved on Pata or dried palm leaves using fine needles by hand with intricate designs with various colors. The paintings mostly depict lord Jagannath, Budhha, Ganesh and Sri Krishna and odishi dancing poses in a form with a signature style.
